Introduction
It was 2:17 a.m.
Anjali opened her eyes.
But… this wasn’t her bedroom.
There were no walls. No ceiling. No floor.
Instead — floating pathways of light.
Soft pulses. Electric currents. Glowing signals moving like rivers.
She stood up slowly.
“Where… am I?”
A calm voice behind her answered.
“Inside the control room.”
She turned.
Dr. Sanjaya stood there.
It was a different ‘part’ of the world.
Calmer. Sharper. Almost… part of the body system itself.
“Welcome,” he said gently,
“to the mind.”
🧠 The Mind: Where Skin Problems Begin
They stood inside a vast glowing network — like a galaxy made of neurons.
Thoughts flashed like lightning. Emotions moved like waves.
Anjali whispered,
“This is… the brain?”
Dr. Sanjaya nodded.
“Yes, the memory cortex of the brain. Where your stress, thoughts, fears, and habits live.”
He pointed ahead.
“When patients come to Christell, they talk about acne, pigmentation, hair fall…”
He paused.
“But the first trigger often starts here.”
Suddenly, scenes appeared in the air:
- Late-night scrolling
- Work stress
- Overthinking
- Emotional burnout

Each one sent pulses through the glowing pathways.
Anjali stepped back.
“So… thoughts become signals?”
“Yes,” he said.
“..and signals become hormones.”
🧠 The Control Center: Hormones Begin
They moved forward — or rather, they were carried.
The glowing floor beneath them transformed into a flowing current of electrical impulses.
Like standing on a conveyor of light.
Signals rushed past them, pushing them gently forward.
Below the glowing mind sat a smaller but powerful structure — pulsing steadily.
“Pituitary. Hypothalamus,” Dr. Sanjaya explained.
“The command center!”
As they approached, streams of electrical signals entered the structure…
And transformed.
Light turned into droplets.
Signals turned into chemical messengers.
Hormones.

“These,” he said,
“control:
- Oil production
- Inflammation
- Metabolism
- Hair growth
- Skin repair”
Anjali whispered,
“So when someone is stressed…”
“…their hormones change,” he completed.
“And the skin, hair and body contour responds aggressively.”
⚡ The Vagus Nerve: The Silent Messenger
A glowing pathway extended downward like a living tunnel.
A golden nerve fibre — pulsating rhythmically.
“The vagus nerve,” Dr. Sanjaya said.
“Direct communication from brain to gut.”
As they stepped in, the tunnel contracted and expanded gently — like breathing.
Suddenly—
They were pulled forward.
Like being carried inside an electric current.
Signals surged past them, pushing them ahead.
They heard a voice: “Doctor! You brought her here?”
Anjali turned mid-motion.
Nurse Kavya appeared — somehow steady within the moving current.
“Welcome to the most underrated connection in the body,” she said.
Anjali laughed nervously.
“You’re here too?”
Kavya winked.
“We manage the chaos outside. This is where it begins inside.”

Dr. Sanjaya smiled.
“When patients say, ‘My stomach reacts when I’m stressed’…”
Kavya added:
“This is the shortcut.”
🍽️ The Stomach: Where Stress Becomes Physical
The tunnel opened suddenly.
They dropped — gently — into a warm, fluid environment.
The stomach.
They weren’t walking anymore.
They were floating.
Around them moved semi-digested food — the food bolus — mixed with digestive juices.
Acid shimmered like glowing liquid waves.
Anjali looked around.
“It feels… intense.”
Dr. Sanjaya nodded.
“When stress signals arrive here:
- Acid production can increase
- Digestive rhythm changes
- Sensitivity rises”
Suddenly—
The fluid around them began to churn faster.
The acidity increased.
The glow sharpened into a harsh, burning light.
The waves rose.
Anjali held her balance.
“Doctor… this is getting unstable.”
Kavya looked around dramatically.
“Yep. Acid spike. I’m out.”
Before Anjali could react—
Kavya dissolved into a swirl of greyish smoke …

And vanished into the acidic waves.
Anjali froze with the incomplete question.
“…Did she just—”
Dr. Sanjaya replied calmly:
“Even stable systems react when balance is disturbed.”
🍠 The Gut: The Hidden World
They were pulled forward again — this time through a long, coiling passage.
The intestines.
They moved along with the flow of digestion — carried by rhythmic contractions.
Peristalsis.
Food particles, digestive enzymes, and fluids moved alongside them.
The environment opened into a vast ecosystem.
The microbiome.
Billions of tiny organisms glowed like stars in motion.
Anjali whispered,
“This is… another universe.”
Dr. Sanjaya nodded.

“This is where:
- Nutrients are absorbed
- Immunity is regulated
- Skin health is influenced”
Suddenly, some regions dimmed.
Inflamed. Slower. Imbalanced.
Factors Beyond Stress That Affect Gut Health
Anjali asked:
“So is this only because of stress?”
Dr. Sanjaya shook his head.
“No. Gut imbalance is rarely caused by one factor.”
He continued:
“When digestion is affected, it is often due to multiple overlapping causes:
- Poor diet (high sugar, processed foods)
- Irregular eating patterns
- Food intolerances
- Microbiome imbalance
- Infections or inflammation
- Medication effects (like antibiotics)
- Chronic stress”

And he added, “When these combine,
- Nutrient absorption reduces
- Inflammation increases
- Skin becomes reactive
- Acne and pigmentation worsen
- Hair health declines”
Anjali nodded slowly.
“So it’s a system failure… not a single issue.”
“Exactly.”
🌿 Ayurvedic Insight: Balance, Not Just Treatment
Anjali asked softly:
“Can this be corrected naturally?”
Dr. Sanjaya smiled.
“Yes — when done correctly.”
He explained:
“In Sri Lanka, Ayurveda has long focused on gut balance and body heat regulation.”
At Christell, selected, guided approaches may include:
- Virechana Therapy – controlled detoxification to support metabolic balance
- Triphala-based gut support – improves digestion and bowel regulation
- Pitta-balancing herbal therapies – to reduce internal heat and inflammation

He added clearly:
“These are not random internet remedies.”
“They are medically guided and integrated safely.”
Anjali smiled.
“So balance… not trends.”
“Always,” he said.
🧪 The Liver: The Silent Processor
They were pulled again — this time into a structured flow.
A vascular channel.
Blood vessels.
They moved through a rich flowing stream — portal circulation.
Everything absorbed from the gut was being transported here.
The liver.
They entered a glowing metabolic hub.
Streams of nutrients, toxins, and chemicals flowed in.
“This,” Dr. Sanjaya said,
“is the processing center.”
He explained:
“The liver:
- Processes nutrients
- Breaks down toxins
- Regulates hormones
- Maintains metabolic balance”

Suddenly, the flow slowed.
The golden stream thickened.
Darkened slightly.
Skin Signals from the Liver
Visual flashes appeared:
- Jawline acne
- Uneven pigmentation
- Dull skin tone
- Inflammation
“When the liver is overloaded,
- Toxins accumulate
- Inflammation increases
- Skin begins to reflect imbalance”
Anjali whispered:
“So the skin is reacting… to what’s happening here?”
“Yes.”

“And this is why surface treatments alone may not be enough.”
The Transition
A deep rhythmic sound echoed.
Thump… thump… thump…
The current changed.
Stronger. Pulsating.
They were being pulled again.
Faster now.
Through larger vessels.
Anjali looked ahead.
“What is that?”
Dr. Sanjaya smiled.

“The heart.”
He turned to her.
“And this is where everything begins to show externally.”
In A Blink…
Anjali took a deep breath.
She looked back..
The brain..
The gut..
The liver!
Everything was connected.
Everything made sense.
Still, something felt incomplete.
The final answer…
Was still ahead.
To Be Continued…
